It all started when we were using a web-based CRM application that kept getting slower, then was completely unavailable. Then one day, we lost an entire day of sales because of it. So we switched to GiftWorks and started customizing it for our needs. When our friends with businesses would visit, they liked it so much they would say "I wish I had that for my business", and then talked about how Act, Goldmine, and Outlook were hard to use for simple things like sending a letter.
